As we learn about the first sacrament, we need your help! Please tell your child some stories about their Baptismal Day. Tell them who are their godparents and why you chose them. We have a page we would like your second grader to do (with your help) so they know some details about their special day. Include a picture if you can.
During the month of September, we will have a "Baptism Show and Tell." Students should bring in one item from their Baptism: their candle, white clothes (ex: the bib they received), a special gift from that day, etc. They will show the class and tell them about it. Students should be able to say the date of their Baptism and who their godparents are.
We celebrate our Baptismal Days in second grade! Students will receive a special cross to wear that day and take home, and we will enjoy a Hershey kiss (representing God's love) together. Please send in a small bag of Hershey kisses on that day. (There are bags at the Dollar Store for $1.)
